Why Tekance
Detailers Who Understand Australian Construction
We have worked directly with precast manufacturers, head contractors, and structural engineers on projects from residential to large civil and commercial.
Australian Standards First
Every drawing references AS 3600, AS 4671, and the NCC.
Fast Turnaround, No Delays
Typical panel drawings within 48 hours. Large project packages within an agreed programme. No drawing held in review longer than it needs to be.
Direct Communication
A dedicated detailer assigned to your project from start to finish. No offshore hand-offs. One contact who knows every drawing in the set.
QA on Every Drawing
Internal peer review before every issue. We cross-check structural calcs, architectural plans, and specs before release. Fewer RFIs on site.
Full BIM Coordination
Federated model coordination, clash detection reports, and IFC deliverables as standard on BIM projects. We integrate into your existing CDE workflow.
Australia-Wide Coverage
Experience across residential, commercial, industrial, and civil in NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, and ACT — including state-specific council requirements.

Client Feedback
Trusted by Australian Builders & Manufacturers
From small precast yards to tier-one contractors, we deliver the same level of detail on every project.
"Tekance turned our architect's cladding concept into a buildable precast panel package in under a week. The embed schedules were correct first time — something we rarely see from detailing firms."
"We run a mid-size precast yard in Brisbane and have used Tekance for three years. Their models export cleanly to our CNC rebar bender — that alone saves four hours per job."
"The coordination on the Melbourne West apartment tower was exceptional. Tekance caught two clashing window embeds during modelling — before the pour. That is exactly what you pay for."
"As a developer building mid-rise residential in Perth, schedule certainty is everything. Tekance delivered 140-sheet drawing packages inside two weeks, every time. Their AS 3600 compliance is spot on."
"We brought Tekance in mid-project after our previous detailer fell behind. They inherited a half-done BIM model and turned it around without missing a site delivery. Exceptional crisis management."
"Our precast stair units had complex geometry the previous detailer couldn't crack. Tekance modelled all 28 flights in Revit, coordinated with the structural engineer and had IFC files ready for our fabricators within five days."

FAQ
Common Questions
Everything you need to know before engaging a detailing firm.
We deliver in all standard formats depending on your workflow: AutoCAD DWG/DXF, PDF (Bluebeam-ready), Revit RVT, IFC 2x3/IFC 4, and Navisworks NWC/NWD. Rebar schedules export to Excel or direct CNC-compatible formats. Just tell us what your fabricator or site team needs.
Turnaround depends on scope, but as a guide:
- Starter (20 sheets): 5–8 business days
- Professional (80 sheets): 2–4 weeks
- Enterprise / large projects: scoped during briefing
We can accommodate expedited timelines for site-critical deliveries — discuss at quoting stage.
Yes — every drawing package we issue is prepared in accordance with AS 3600-2018 (Concrete Structures), AS 4671-2019 (Steel Reinforcing), NCC 2022, and relevant standards. We also cross-reference state-specific requirements (e.g. SA DPTI, VicRoads) where applicable.
Absolutely. We regularly rescue mid-project work. Send us the existing Revit files and structural drawings and we will audit what's usable, identify gaps, and provide a fixed-price scope to complete the package. We have inherited models in as poor a state as 30% completion and delivered on schedule.
We have active projects in NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, and ACT. Because we work remotely from your structural and architectural drawings, geography is rarely a constraint. For projects requiring on-site presence (inspections, RFI walkthroughs), we coordinate travel to all capital cities.
Included revision rounds cover changes arising from structural engineer mark-ups or design updates issued before fabrication. Revisions requested after a drawing is released-for-construction, or driven by scope changes, are quoted separately at a transparent hourly rate. RFIs are managed through your preferred platform (Aconex, Procore, or email).
To prepare a quote we need:
- Structural engineer's drawings (IFC or design-issue)
- Architectural drawings showing facade or precast intent
- Specification sections (concrete, reinforcement, precast)
- Anticipated element count or approximate sheet count
- Target issue date for fabrication drawings
We can often quote from concept drawings if structural documents aren't ready yet.
Yes. We sign a mutual NDA on request before any drawings or specifications are shared. All project files are stored on encrypted servers with access limited to the assigned team. We do not share project information with third parties, and work samples used in our portfolio are only published with explicit client consent.
